Get your Vitality assessment done with us and earn vitality points and maximise your rewards. The Vitality Assessment is part of the Discovery Vitality program, aimed at evaluating and promoting members' health and fitness. It usually involves various measurements and tests, including body metrics, cardiovascular fitness, and other health indicators. The results help create a personalised health profile and may contribute to your overall Vitality status. By participating in this assessment, members often earn points that can lead to various rewards and benefits within the Discovery Vitality program, encouraging a proactive approach to health and well-being.

DISCOVERY HEALTH CHECKS
The Vitality Health Check is a simple and convenient set of essential health screenings and preventive tests including Blood pressure, Glucose, Cholesterol or Lipogram, Voluntary HIV testing, Weight assessment or body mass index (BMI) and non-smoker's declaration. All discovery medical aid scheme clients have access to free health check as part of their risk benefits. Earn up to 22500 points
Kids Vitality Health Check: includes a body mass index (BMI) measurement, blood pressure, as well as a health behaviour and developmental questionnaire.
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Under this weight management programme, members will participate in a 12-week, biokineticist-led intervention plan that will give them access to a dietician and psychologist with the goal to lose the excess weight and lead healthier, more rewarding lives.
This is a risk benefit, and thus comes at NO COST to all qualifying beneficiaries.
The following parameters will be eligible for the programme:
- BMI ≥ 30 kg/m, or
- Men with a waist circumference ≥ 102 cm, or
- Women with a waist circumference ≥ 88 cm, or
- Other cases identified by a General Practitioner or BASA biokineticist supported by a motivation, e.g. member with a BMI between 25.0 kg/m and 29.9 kg/m with diabetes and comorbidities.
- Client must call their medical aid to get an authorisation to get started with the program.
VITALITY FITNESS ASSESSMENT
The Vitality Fitness Assessment tests consist of cardiovascular fitness, as well as your strength and flexibility, to give you an accurate ands personalised understanding of your fitness. Fitness screening will be determined by the following parameters: Blood pressure, Heart rate, BMI, Push up, shoulder mobility, Trendelenberg, Hip rotation, Straight leg raise, Over-head squat, Lunges. You will earn up to 7500 points.
